Hey everyone,

If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been following my music journey as Insan3Lik3 or you were part of my Bandcamp mailing list. First of all—thank you. Your support over the years has allowed me to share music with the world, collaborate with amazing artists, and stay motivated through all the ups and downs of being an independent electronic music producer.

Today, I want to share something bigger than just a new track or an album. I’m working on something that I believe can change the way musicians connect, collaborate, and grow together: Sounds Social.

A Quick Thank You to Bandcamp Subscribers

Before we dive in, let me address the elephant in the room. If you’re one of the 100 people from my Bandcamp mailing list, you might be wondering why you’re getting this update.

I imported my Bandcamp mailing list because I wanted you—the people who have supported me since day one—to be part of this new chapter. You were there when I first started sharing my music. Now, I’d love for you to help me shape a platform that’s built for musicians, by musicians.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your feedback and participation mean everything. ❤️

My Journey as Insan3Lik3

For those who don’t know me well, here’s the short version: I’m Insan3Lik3, an electronic music producer who has released music on labels like Monstercat and various indie labels. Over the years, I’ve built a network of 50,000 followers across different platforms, connected with incredible fans, and collaborated with talented artists from all over the world.

Sounds great, right? And it was—mostly.

But here’s the truth most people don’t see: growing as a musician in today’s digital world is harder than ever. Algorithms dictate who hears your music, social media is more about trends than talent, and platforms that were once artist-focused have turned into passive streaming services.

I faced three big problems:

  1. Organic growth was dead. Posting a track on SoundCloud or YouTube felt like shouting into the void.
  2. Collaboration was harder than it should be. Finding like-minded artists meant scrolling through endless Discord channels or hoping to bump into someone in a comment section.
  3. Meaningful feedback didn’t exist. Most platforms are built for consumption, not interaction. People drop likes, maybe a short comment, but real feedback? Almost impossible to get.

And I thought:
If I’m struggling with this—even with a decent following—what about the thousands of talented producers out there who are just starting out?

Why Sounds Social Exists

That thought sparked the idea for Sounds Social. I wanted to build a place where musicians could:

  • Get discovered organically, not by playing the algorithm game.
  • Find collaborators easily, without endless DMs or ghosting.
  • Receive real feedback—not just likes, but actionable comments from other musicians who understand your craft.

Other platforms have tried to solve parts of this problem. SoundCloud was great years ago, but now it feels like an archive. Discord communities are helpful, but they’re fragmented and hard to navigate. Instagram? Forget it—it’s built for visuals, not music growth.

Sounds Social is different. It’s a social music platform where musicians help each other grow. Built by an artist (me), with the community at the center.

What Makes Sounds Social Different?

This isn’t just another SoundCloud clone. Sounds Social is designed from the ground up for connection and collaboration. Here’s what’s already live:

Collab Finder

A smart way to find musicians who match your style, genre, and goals. No more random DMs or awkward introductions.

Feedback for Feedback

Give real feedback to others and earn feedback in return. It’s a fair system that ensures genuine interaction instead of empty likes.

Battle Pit

A fun, gamified way to challenge yourself and compare your track against others. Think of it as a friendly competition that sparks creativity.

And this is just the beginning. Here’s what’s coming next:

🔜 Free Sample Market

Share and download samples from the community. No gatekeeping, no overpriced packs—just collaboration.

🔜 Competitions

Regular contests to showcase talent, push creativity, and reward the best tracks.

All of this is built by one person—me—because I believe in keeping things community-driven, not corporate.

For the Bandcamp Family: Why You’re Here

I added you to this list because you’ve supported me as an artist, and I want you to be part of the next evolution of that journey.

Sounds Social isn’t about me—it’s about us. The people who love creating, experimenting, and sharing music. This platform needs early adopters like you to test it, give feedback, and shape it into something that truly helps musicians grow.

Thank you for being here. Seriously. 🙏

My Vision for Sounds Social

Let me be clear: this isn’t a quick project. Sounds Social is built with long-term growth and sustainability in mind. Here’s the vision:

  • A freemium model: Free for everyone to join, with an optional Pro plan that includes perks like a Support button, advanced collab tools, and exclusive features.
  • A place where music discovery works again, because it’s based on community engagement, not algorithms.
  • A hub for collaborations, competitions, and creativity—not another passive streaming service.

In short:
A social network for musicians who actually want to grow together.

Why This Matters (and Why I Care)

I’ve spent over a decade in the music industry, and I’ve seen how platforms change. What starts as a community often turns into a business that forgets about the creators who built it. I don’t want that to happen here.

Sounds Social is my attempt to build something artists actually need. A place where the next Insan3Lik3, the next independent producer, or the next incredible vocalist can find opportunities—not because of luck, but because the platform was designed for them.

What’s Next for You?

Here’s what you can do right now:

  1. Sign up on Sounds Social
    👉 https://soundssocial.io

The more you engage, the better this platform becomes.

Your feedback matters. This is your chance to influence how a music platform works—not just complain about the ones that don’t.

I’m also launching a Featured Artists program. If you upload a track and leave genuine feedback for others, you could:

  • Get featured on this blog

This is my way of saying thanks and giving early adopters the spotlight they deserve.
